Description

The Project Controller is poised to become an integral and trusted member of the Energy Business line. In this capacity, they will play an active role in contributing to designated Consulting projects and Success Engagements, collaborating closely with diverse project team members. A key aspect of their responsibilities is to ensure the smooth tracking and monitoring of the key performance indicators for the projects, delivering detailed monthly reports to the management. This entails fostering strong collaboration within the project team to guarantee the effective and efficient execution of tasks and the achievement of project KPI and key financial indicators.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with the project controlling team to develop project plans, defining scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and financial requirements.

• Contributing to the development and upkeep of project documentation, with a specific focus on monitoring project budgets, invoicing, revenue recognition, and forecasting revenue/costs for active projects, along with other relevant operational duties.

• Assisting the Project controlling team in ensuring that the product project team is well-informed about the critical business requirements outlined by the customer and management.

• Working under the guidance of the relevant team, as appropriate, to plan and monitor specific project financial activities.

• Assist in generating customer invoices, compiling support documentation, and overseeing the approval and payment processes with the Finance team.

• Supporting the Project controller in providing month-end Cost & Revenue accrual data to the Finance team and facilitating the monthly reversal of project accruals.

• Monitor costs against the baseline, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.

• Assisting in the monthly development of the Profit and Loss forecast and analysis of the product lines for Energy BL.

• Responsible for overall project accounting including revenue recognition (percentage of completion).

• Addressing information requests from senior leadership and product owners.

• Strengthening the knowledge base and collaboration tools within the team.

• Assist the Project controller in driving the Product Project Team and Finance team.

• Assist in ensuring the scope of the delivery contract is according to methodology.

• Identifying and highlighting project risks, recording them systematically, and communicating them effectively to the relevant management team.

Qualifications

•Bachelor degree in Finance, Business, Engineering or an applicable education in operations, or equivalent.

• Project Management Essentials certification, or equivalent project management experience

• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within Finance background and essential project management skills

• Proven track record in managing and maintaining project baselines across diverse industries

Additional Information

•Experience with participating in or managing projects

• Proficiency in using productivity tools such as Excel, Excel Macros (VBA), MS Project, SharePoint.

• Good business aptitude and fast learner.

• Strong problem solving and analysis skills.

• Financial analysis and accounting knowledge.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Demonstrated ability to focus on detail, consistency and quality in written communications

and presentations.
