Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business growth and market expansion goals.
Identify opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and strategic alliances.
- Market Analysis:
Conduct comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging opportunities.
Analyze and forecast market demands for training programs.
- Sales and Revenue Generation:
Drive revenue growth by targeting new client acquisition and upselling to existing clients.
Develop and meet sales targets and KPIs in alignment with the institute's objectives.
- Product Development:
Collaborate with program coordinators and educators to tailor training programs that meet market needs.
Provide input for developing new courses and services based on client feedback and market trends.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, corporates, and educational institutions to promote offerings.
Represent the client at conferences, exhibitions, and other networking events to enhance visibility.
- Team Leadership:
Mentor and lead a team of sales and marketing professionals to achieve targets.
Conduct regular training and performance evaluations to improve team effectiveness.
Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople.
- Proposal and Contract Management:
Draft and negotiate proposals, contracts, and agreements with clients and partners.
Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and company standards in all dealings.
- Marketing Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing team to design and implement campaigns for target audiences.
Provide insights into digital and offline marketing strategies to attract more clients.
- Customer Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain a strong client database for ongoing relationship management.
Ensure excellent post-sale support and maintain high client satisfaction.
Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Compliance and Reporting:
Maintain up-to-date records of business development activities and outcomes.
Regularly report progress and performance metrics to senior management.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on technological advancements and integrate innovative solutions into the client's services.
Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
A minimum of 15 years of work experience, with at least 8 years specifically in training, vocational development, and business strategy.
Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer requirements.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
