Job Purpose
Trade Compliance (TC) have the unique assigned areas (e.g. Inbound Logistics, TC Technical Services, Import/Export Control.
Coordinator will insure full compliance to the implementation of the established work process within their assigned areas. The key strength of a coordinator is their operational knowledge and implementing best practices. Expectations include identification and support of activities which increase the value, economic profit, and cash flow. Purpose is to achieve excellent results for both internal and external proponents.
Responsibilities
Within their assigned area, the Coordinator should implement their work processes effectively. They should have a critical eye on the process and offer suggestions on ways to enhance and improve the process. Initiative and leadership are key competencies.
Assist in operational system evaluation for achieving uninterrupted operations. They should coordinate all their actions with the team to ensure an overall effective optimization process.
Support assigned business initiatives to achieve optimum costs and productivity.
Participate with the team leader for enhancing the operations and segmentation within their assigned areas.
Support the development of work processes, business rules, and establish metrics in the areas of responsibility.
Implement the most effective technology (MET) and best practices during business projects.
Utilize optimization tools to improve the overall process design.
Support design scenarios, process variability and trade-offs through table top exercises, exception scenarios, and modelling techniques (simulation).
Become a key contact in the areas of project management, supply chain optimization tools, approaches and methods.
Participate in cross-functional team projects. Provide support and expertise in supply chain operations technology.
Engage with a group of professionals to optimize assigned area and the development of company strategies to ensure world class operations.
Become aware of the various business cost and service requirements and support operational and service requirements.
Work across businesses and divisions to resolve complex or long-standing problems and ensure issues are resolved in a timely fashion.
Participates as requested in the Supply Chain division leaders’ network to develop and leverage consistent processes, capabilities, and tools.
Provide issue resolution assistance to the day-to-day operations as a first level of escalation for system (SAP and other) issues.
Assist with goal setting of individuals and department; provide suggestions on necessary educational needs.
Monitor work process activity and internal controls. Participate as requested on internal and external audits. Understand and promote proper internal controls.
Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/ manager.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Business administration or related field.
- APICS Supply Chain Professional Certification
