About HAKA
Minimum Qualification & Experience
-BS degree in engineering, safety engineering, industrial hygiene, or environmental science
-GPA 2.5 out of 4
-Professional Safety Certification (e.g. Certified Safety Professional) is a plus.
-3+ years of progressive field experience, with increasing supervisory and managerial responsibility.
-Construction safety advisor candidates shall have practical experience in direct execution of construction activities such as: confined space, heavy equipment, cranes, critical lifts and heavy rigging, deep excavations, dewatering, piling and shoring, scaffolds, electrical – lock-out/tag-out, and emergency response, and developing safety management and performance measurement systems.
-Ideal candidates work history will include representing client organizations, major EPC, and/or Project Management Contractors in the Oil and Gas and/or Heavy Construction Industry. However, candidates with any of the above experience will be considered.
-Excellent health, physically fit capable of climbing ladders, scaffolds, and process equipment to minimum elevations of approximately 15 meters.
-Willing to perform field and administrative functions in remote locations with extremely harsh environmental conditions.
-Excellent oral, written and presentation skills, and high level of fluency with Microsoft® Office Professional applications.
-Ability to work with multicultural workforces, all levels of company and contractor personnel, field level through Sr. Management

Duties & Responsibilities
-Represent departments and divisions with investigating incidents and near misses
-Develop, review and improve department division and contractor site procedures as necessary
-Coordinate and maintain contractor and company safety performance records and statistics
-Promote compliance with the Project Management Safety Management System, its processes, procedures, and documentation requirements
-Conduct audits of department, division, and contractor safety programs site activities and documentation
-Provide technical assistance for division personnel
-Develop and deliver effective high level safety presentations for management
-Assist with pre-startup safety reviews and pre-commissioning of new & upgraded plants and facilities
-Review and investigate the safety performance of construction contractors to highlight/identify problems or potential problems that may arise
-Identify root causes of noncompliance, develop and recommend corrective courses of action in line with industry best practices
-Conduct safety coordination meetings with management and contractors with respect to safety issues
-Ensure method statements and job hazard risk assessments are developed, approved and implemented
-Assist project engineers in preparation of preliminary Hazard Identification Plans
-Present Saudi Aramco and Project Management safety, health and environmental requirements to bidders at Job Explanation pre-bid meetings
-Assist in Saudi development and the training of Project Management and contractor personnel
-Other safety duties as may be required
-Perform site inspections & compliance reviews, verify compliance and enforce company safety requirements
-Review proposed “safety lessons learned” for correct subject matter content
-Conduct reviews of contractor records and verify proper classification and recording of medical incidents
-Identify areas of exemplary safety execution and performance and opportunities for improvement
-Prepare and issue quarterly reports on PM Department/Division safety performance and accomplishments
-Incumbent functions independently or in team assignments and reports administratively to unit/division/ department supervisor/manager.
